Here is another school magazine aimed at secondary teachers. The background is again white which shows a clean canvas to work on also The colour white signifies purity. The other colour which dominates the front page is light blue. This is the same colour of the ocean and signifies freedom.
With this college magazine the focus point is again the student but the main story is “how year 10 thrive on apprenticeships” this is emphasised because the girls uniform, half school uniform, half nurse’s outfit. It shows how easily students can make the step from education into their career. The colour blue shows us that the student is free to achieve anything she wants with the help of an education.

The girls body language also tells us allot. She has a smile on her face and is clearly looking pleased with what she has achieved. This shows us that she is happy to learn at school and has benefited from it. The girl is also stood with her arms folded which shows us that she is confident and has a sense of achievement and responsibility for her own life/ actions.

Analysis of "sencondary Teachers"magazine

I have been given the front and back page of a school magazine to analyse.
the magazine "secondary teachers" is aimed at a niche audience which is secondary teachers. the magazine brings up the issue of " do boys and girls learn differently?" it also contains plugs referring to " dyslexia- how easy is it to spot" the magazine is also advertising a free student cook book. The background of the magazine is white which is seen as a clean colour, it stands for purity and a blank canvas to work on.The masthead is bright blue which makes it stand out although the picture of the student which is the focus point overlaps the Masthead with good reason. The picture shows a male student who looks very confident by having his arm raised high in the air looking like he is going to shout out the answer, this links into the story " do boys and girls learn differently?". We know the male is a student because he is wearing school uniform.
the heading on the front page is blue which is a stereotypical "boy" colour, were as on the back page the headline is pink. On the back page there is a picture of a female student not looking as confident as the male as her arm isn’t raised high in the air as if she is shouting out the answer. instead she is looking over at the male with the pen in her hand ready to write down the answer. girls tend to be more mature than boys at this age and rather than shouting out the answer the girl seems to be quietly confident in the way she is approaching the question answered. the colours of the font on the back page are different to those on the front page, I believe this is to emphasise the difference between boys and girls.
